New Zealand’s MPs vote to change Gun laws
New Zealand’s parliament has voted to pass the gun reform bill 119-1 to prohibit military-style semi-automatic weapons, aftermath of the Christchurch attacks which killed 50 people. It is expected to become law within the next few days after receiving royal assent from the governor general. PM Jacinda Ardern has announced changes to the law after attack by a suspected lone gunman at two mosques in Christchurch.
