Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana Overview

Recent developments in India highlight initiatives aimed at supporting religious leaders and advancing space technology, including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) introduced a financial support scheme for Hindu priests and Sikh granthis. Simultaneously, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched a critical mission to enhance space docking capabilities.

Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana Overview

The Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana offers ₹18,000 monthly to Hindu priests and Sikh granthis. This initiative is the first of its kind in India. Arvind Kejriwal announced the scheme amid discussions on unemployment support. The programme aims to recognise the longstanding contributions of these religious figures. It addresses the often-overlooked needs of their families. Registration for the scheme begins on a specified Tuesday, with an official launch planned at Hanuman Temple.

ISRO’s SpaDeX Mission Details

ISRO’s SpaDeX mission was successfully launched using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. The mission includes 24 experiments and two 220-kilogram satellites. The launch was slightly delayed to prevent satellite collisions. The spacecraft, SDX01 and SDX02, will test advanced space docking technology. This technology is essential for future missions, including lunar expeditions and the Bharatiya Antariksh Station.

Spacecraft Operation Plan

The two satellites will be placed in low Earth orbit with an initial distance of 10-15 kilometres apart. They will drift apart before stopping to check their systems. Once verified, SDX01 will approach SDX02 incrementally. Distances will reduce from 10 kilometres to 5 kilometres, then to 1.5 kilometres, culminating at the docking point.

Importance of SpaDeX Mission

Both satellites are equipped with advanced tools, including an imaging system and a radiation monitor. These tools will measure space radiation, providing vital data for future human space missions. The success of SpaDeX represents advancement in India’s space capabilities. It prepares ISRO for more complex operations and interplanetary missions.
