National Scout and Guide Jamboree

Rajasthan, a state in western India, is set to host the 18th National Scout and Guide Jamboree after a 66-year gap. The event, which will take place at Rohat in the Pali district, is expected to attract over 35,000 scouts and guides from all over the country. The Jamboree, which will be a 7-day event, is sure to be a unique and memorable experience for all those who attend.

President Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates the Event

President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Jamboree today, having arrived in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, yesterday for a two-day visit to the state. On the second day of her visit, the President meditated at Gyansarovar of Brahmakumari Sansthan in Mount Abu and also visited the Pandav Bhavan of Brahmakumari Sansthan. She is set to leave for Pali, where the Jamboree is being held, from Abu Road’s Manpur airstrip in the afternoon.

The Jamboree Village

A smart jamboree village has been set up at Nimblee village, covering a 220 hectare area and equipped with all the necessary facilities. Over 3,500 tents have been erected at the venue to accommodate the large number of participants expected to attend. The village is sure to be a hub of activity during the Jamboree, with a range of activities and attractions on offer.

Activities and Attractions

  • The Jamboree will have a range of activities and attractions for participants to enjoy. One of the main attractions will be the display of the Indian Airforce Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team. This talented group of pilots will surely be a sight to behold as they perform their impressive manoeuvres in the skies above the Jamboree.
  • In addition to the aerobatics display, there will also be a demonstration by the BSF Camel Squad. These skilled riders and their trusty camels are sure to be a hit with attendees, as they show off their skills and training.
  • A variety of competitions will also be organized during the Jamboree. These competitions will provide a chance for scouts to showcase their skills and abilities, and compete against their peers from all over the country.
