National Public Procurement Conclave held in New Delhi
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal inaugurated the 3rd edition of National Public Procurement Conclave (NPPC) in New Delhi. The two-day conclave was organized by Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). NPCC will be held from 5-6 December 2019.
Key Highlights
NPCC brings together a host of Buyers, Sellers and stalwarts of industry with massive opportunities in Public Procurement sector. It offers opportunities to interact with more than 800 buyers/sellers across sectors along with over 400+ Public Procurement Managers from different public sector undertaking (PSU) and Governments Departments across different states.
During the conclave, a road map for future of GeM will be put in place that will unify all government procurement, across all Ministries and Departments.
During deliberations, an actionable agenda will emerge that will facilitate work contracts in form of tenders to be made available on GeM portal in future.

It is a state-of-the-art public procurement platform envisaged by Centre Government, that has uses technology to remove entry barriers for bonafide sellers. Procurement of Goods and Services by Ministries or Departments of Centre Government has been made mandatory for Goods and Services available on GeM. It has created a vibrant and truly transparent e-marketplace with a wide range of goods and services.
GeM has now introduced GeM 3.0, which is a more robust, flexible e-marketplace with an intuitive User Interface (UI) to make procurement of Goods and Services simpler than ever. GeM rests on 3 pillars of fairness, openness and inclusiveness. It epitomizes speed, skill and scale which is essential in an e-marketplace platform.
