National Museum of Indian Cinema’s news bulletin launched

A fortnightly bulletin of the National Museum of Indian Cinema as “NMIC Bulletin“, brought out by the Films Division was launched in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

About NMIC Bulletin

National Museum of Indian Cinema are not just about artefacts kept in them but are also about witnessing journey that made cinema possible as well as about narrating untold stories behind those cinemas.

Need: This bulletin will give several educational institutions and students of media studies who visit Museum regularly a physical document to cherish and to get relevant information.

Significance: India is a nation of great storytellers and produces largest number of films in world. Also, the diversity in Indian cinema can be found nowhere else. Thus need is to market Indian cinema better which this News Bulletin will help in.

About National Museum of Indian Cinema

National Museum of Indian Cinema was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 19 January 2019. Its portions occupy 19th century heritage bungalow and a modern building in south Mumbai.

It aims to conserve film heritage of India.

It provides a glimpse of evolution of Indian cinema over the years in a storytelling mode with help of graphics, visuals, artifacts, multimedia expositions and interactive exhibits.
