National Data Quality Forum: launched by ICMR
Indian Council of Medical Research’s (ICMR’s) National Institute for Medical Statistics have launched National Data Quality Forum (NDQF) to improve quality of health and demographic data in India.
About National Data Quality Forum (NDQF)
It is launched by ICMR’s National Institute for Medical Statistics (ICMR-NIMS), in partnership with Population Council.
Purpose:
It seeks to generate meaningful dialogue around improvement of data quality in general, and for health and medical research in particular.
It will integrate learnings from scientific and evidence-based initiatives and guide actions by periodic workshops and conferences.
Activities undertaken by NDQF will help establish protocols and good practices of data collection, storage, use and dissemination that can be applied to health and demographic data, and even be replicated across industries and sectors.
NDQF platform will be guided by direction provided by a high level steering committee and will be operationalised with help of a technical advisory group composed of subject matter experts with a mandate to create dialogue for data quality, and build like-minded community of practice.
