National Cyclone Risk Mitigation project
The National Cyclone Risk Mitigation project or NCRMP is a project to address the cyclone risk in the country. The project is implemented by the National Disaster Management Authority under the home affairs ministry in coordination with the state governments and the ministry of earth sciences. 13 cyclone prone states and UTs have been identified under this project. The project seeks to reduce the vulnerability of coastal communities to cyclones and other such hazards.
