Nag River

Nag river is a 17-km long river flowing through the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra. Originating from the Lava Hills, it is part of the Kanhan-Pench river system. Recently, Nag River Pollution Abatement Project was approved with an outlay of Rs.2,117.54 crores. The aim of this project is to address the issue of pollution of Nag river caused by sewage and industrial wastes. The project comes under the National River Conservation Plan. It will be implemented by the National River Conservation Directorate.
