Myntra.com acquires mobile app development platform Native5

E-commerce solutions provider for fashion and lifestyle products Myntra.com has acquired Bengaluru based mobile app development platform company Native5.
This acquisition will help to strengthen and expand Myntra’s mobile technology team which is focused on driving transformational change in the online shopping space.
Native5 was founded in 2012 and was led by Kunal Abhishek, Shamik Dattaand, Barada Sahu and Manish Priyadarshi. The startup generally builds tools and services that enable cross platform app development on the cloud.
With this acquisition the entire team (barring Manish Priyadarshi) will join Flipkart, parent company of Myntra and work towards creating innovative mobile experiences.
It should be noted that Native5 is Myntra’s second technology led acquisition. Earlier in April 2013, Myntra had acquired San Francisco based technology solution startup Fitiquette, which is a one of a kind virtual fitting room.
