‘Mukhya Mantri Dal Poshit Yojana’: launched in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched a scheme called ‘Mukhya Mantri Dal Poshit Yojana’ to provide state ration card holders two kilograms of two different varieties of pulses available at prices much lower than the market rate. During the launch CM distributed pulse packets among the beneficiaries.

About Mukhya Mantri Dal Poshit Yojana

Under the scheme State government will offer a subsidy of Rs.15 per kilogram on variety of pulses identified, including chana, malka and masur.

Each eligible beneficiary and ration card holders in state will get 2 kgs of pulses at subsidised rates every month under the scheme.

Pulses at subsidised rates to people will fulfill their protein requirement. The scheme will help in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a healthy India.

23.32 lakh ration card holders of state will benefit from the scheme. They will get 2 kgs of Chana dal (chickpeas split) at rate of Rs.44 per kg in Septemver 2019. Currently, Chana dal comes at Rs.65-Rs 70 per kg in the open market.
