MP Government announces 33 percent quota for women in government jobs
Madhya Pradesh government has decided to provide 33 percent reservation to women in government jobs.
Decision in this regard was taken by state cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
With this, the reservation to women in government jobs in the state has been increased from present 30 per cent to 33 per cent.
Apart from this decision, state Cabinet also gave its approval to a proposal providing compensation to farmers i.e. they have to repay only 90 thousand rupees on a loan of one lakh rupees.
State Government has forwarded these proposals to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for its approval as Model Code of Conduct is in place in Jhabua-Ratlam Parliamentary Constituency and Dewas Assembly constituency where by-elections are to be held in November 2015.
It was also decided to give monthly pension of 2500 rupees to the relatives of those who were killed in anti-Sikh riots of 1984 in the state.
