Mohan Parasaran is new Solicitor General of India
Mohan Parasaran has been appointed as the new Solicitor General of India following the resignation of senior advocate Rohinton Nariman from the post. Mr Parasaran, who is currently the Additional Solicitor General, is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court.
What is the job of SG?
The Solicitor General appears on behalf of, and advises, the union government on various cases.
