Ministry of Tourism launches campaign – 777 Days of Incredible Indian Himalayas
With an aim to attract more foreign tourists and bring into the notice of the world that a major part of the Himalayan range is in India, the Union Ministry of Tourism has launched –777 Days of Incredible Indian Himalayas on the occasion of World Tourism Day- September 27.
The Ministry of Tourism has planned some incentives and programmes during the 777 days of the campaign which include:
- The Ministry will meet 50% of Peak fee chargeable by Indian Mountaineering Foundation from the climbing expeditions.
- Special adventure programmes like trekking, river rafting, Himalayan run, mountain and bike events will be organized in collaboration with Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI).
Note: Around 73% of the Himalayan range lies in India.
