Microsoft takes Office to the cloud

Now, people can subscribe to Office 365 as a service in the Internet cloud, obviating the need to buy the popular productivity software on a disk.

How would it benefit users?

This service would allow the customers to use the suite of programs for documents, spreadsheets, presentations and other tasks on as many as five devices. Customers can subscribe to Office 365 at the cost of $100 a year. Documents or other files created using Office programs can be saved at Microsoft’s online SkyDrive with storage space advanced to 27 gigabytes for subscribers.
