Mexico’s Cannabis Bill
Mexico’s Congress recently passed a bill to decriminalize cannabis (more commonly called marijuana) for medicinal, scientific and recreational use. If the Senate too passes the bill, one of the largest marijuana market could be created. The bill provides for 5 license types: for cultivation, transformation, sale, export and import and research. Cultivation, possession and consumption is allowed for people who are 18 years or older. Marijuana use is legalised in several countries like Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Canada.
