MEITY: Deep Dive Online Training Programme
Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) is organising the “Deep Dive Online Training Programme” with the aim of strengthening cyber security ecosystem in India.
Key Points
- This is week-long training programme, which is being organised for Chief Information Security officers (CISO) along with Technical Heads, Departments & organisations from central & state governments, front-line IT staff representing different Ministries, Bank organisations and PSUs.
- Programme started on October 25 and will conclude on October 30, 2021. Timing of the programme coincide with the National Cyber Security Awareness Month celebrations.
Deep Dive Online Training Programme
- Deep Dive Online Training Programme is a part of the series of workshops, that are organised by National e-Governance Division under the Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative.
- This programme will help the CISOs and other participants in equipping themselves with better understanding of changing dynamics of the cyber environment across the world.
- It seeks to help CISOs so that they can translate the benefits of a secure cyber space to citizens and individual organisations.
Role of CISOs
CISOs are engaged in gap analysis of the cyber security within the organisation. On the basis of analysis, they come out with plan & strategy for bridging gap and take corrective actions.
Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative
Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative was launched by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in January 2018. It is the first of its kind public-private partnership initiative. It leverages the expertise of IT industry in cybersecurity. Knowledge partners of the training program are CERT-In, CDAC, STQC and NIC.
