‘Mehngai Rahat Camp’
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is set to inaugurate the ‘Mehngai Rahat Camp’ on April 24 at Mahapura village panchayat of Sanganer. The camp, which will continue till June 30 this year, aims to provide relief to the general public and deprived sections from rising prices and inflation.
Objective of the Camp
The main objective of the Mehngai Rahat Camp, as stated by the Chief Minister, is to empower the common people. Through the camp, the government aims to provide complete information about rights, schemes, and eligibility to the general public and deprived sections. The camp will act as a platform to connect people with the public welfare schemes of the state government, providing relief from inflation and rising prices.
Welfare Schemes
The Mehngai Rahat Camp will provide 10 public welfare schemes to the common people. These schemes are aimed at benefiting various sections of society, including farmers, landless laborers, and agriculture course graduate unemployed youths. The state government has allocated ₹592 crore under various schemes for farmers’ welfare, including provisions for spraying nano urea by drone, grants to landless laborers for purchasing manual agricultural machinery, and providing agricultural machinery to farmers.
Registration and Camp Details
Registration has been made mandatory for joining the 10 public welfare schemes run by the state government. The camps will be set up at around 2,000 permanent inflation relief camps in government offices and public places across districts. For the convenience of the common people, registration can be done in camps of other districts through the Rajasthan government’s Jan Aadhar card.
