Meghalaya Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021

The Meghalaya Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 was recently announced by the state government of Meghalaya. It will come to effect from April 1 this year. It has set the target of 15 per cent electric vehicle penetration by the year 2025. The plan involves providing incentives to limited early adopters of EV. It will be effective until 2025. This strategy will ensure saving of around 50 lakh litres of fuel and reduce carbon emission.
