Measures to Ensure Ethics in Workplace

People are likely to condemn and approve the acts of other people in their own and other culture. The  whole  concern of  ethical  excellence  in workplace  is  with  pleasures  and  pains caused to himself and the environment. The  person who  uses  these  well will  be  smart, outstanding and liked by all  and  one  who  uses  them  badly will  be  bad.

Managing ethics in the workplace comprises recognising and putting precedence to values that guides individual acts in the organization. To ensure the ethics is established and maintained, the management should make sure that associated policies and procedures enacted and achieved. These six pillars are ethical values that guide an employee’s choices in the workplace. The conduct has standards that arise from these values which form the ground rules of ethics, and it helps in ethical decision making

  • Building Trust: loyalty, integrity, promise-keeping, Honesty.
  • Justice, equity, equality and due process is central to any well-functioning organisation.
  • Give Respect to fellow peers: acceptance, tolerance, autonomy, privacy, courtesy and dignity.
  • Establishing fairness, procedural fairness, impartiality and consistency in the workplace.
  • Take Responsibility for actions, pursuit of excellence and creating accountability for each other.

Informal feelings such as caring, loving, compassion, kindness, sharing, and consideration goes beyond the normal obligation.
