The module very widely covers the history of outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics, infection control practices, serologic tests and their performance parameters, sample collection, microbial diagnosis, and care of patients during pandemics.

The need for the Module

The aforesaid pandemic management module is designed in such a way that, the MBBS student acquires knowledge in handling not only the illness but also the social, legal and other issues arising from such disease outbreaks. Our medical graduates must possess the skill to investigate, treat, and prevent any new such fatalities. The unfolding of Covid-19 and its rapid spread across the globe has further highlighted the need to develop these skills in our medical graduates.
