Mahela Jayawardene retires from Test cricket
The former skipper of Sri Lanka‘s cricket team Mahela Jayawardene has announced retirement from Test cricket.
The right-handed batsman has played 145 tests and his 11,493 runs shares 6th position, along with Kumar Sangakkara of the same team, on the list of highest scorers in the longest format of the game. He has 33 test centuries to his name and has a batting average of a little more than 50/innings.
