Madhya Pradesh CM Launches ‘Lokpath Mobile App’ for Road Issues

Mohan Yadav, who is the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, recently launched the Lokpath Mobile App. The goal of this digital project is to quickly fix road problems that people report within seven days. The app was launched at a media event in the Bhopal state assembly building. It is a big step toward better road upkeep and accountability in the state.

Purpose and Functionality of the App

The Lokpath Mobile App lets people directly share problems with the roads, like potholes or other damage. The Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation Limited made it, which makes sure that there is a strong way to report problems and get them fixed. By taking a picture of the problem on the road and uploading it, the report goes straight to the right people. This building makes the process clear, accountable, and quick, and every problem that is mentioned must be fixed within seven days.

Operational Mechanism and Officer Accountability

Soon after the problem is reported through the app, it is the job of the assigned officer to fix the road defect within seven days. This process is closely watched, and the app gives the complainant updates and comments on the final resolution. Not only does this system speed up the response time, it also makes the public officers participating more accountable.

Implementation Stages and Coverage

There will be two stages to the release of the Lokpath Mobile App. National highways, state highways, and main district roads are covered in the first phase, which began on July 2. Other district and rural roads will be added to the second part. It includes all roads that can be fixed that are under the Public Works Department’s control, from state roads to national routes.

Future Impact and Enhancements

Chief Minister Yadav said that the app is an important part of making the state’s Road Information and Management System better. Not only is the Lokpath Mobile App meant to help with quick road fixes, it also supports the overall goal of keeping infrastructure in great shape. By using cutting-edge technology and encouraging people to be proactive about road maintenance, the program is meant to make big changes to about 40,000 kilometers of roads across the state. Madhya Pradesh is a leader in using technology for public benefit and infrastructure accountability by centralizing complaints and resolutions through a mobile app.
