Laxman Rawat Clinches NSCI Snooker Open Crown

Laxman Rawat of PSPB emerged victorious in the ‘Baulkline’ NSCI All India Snooker Open, beating fellow PSPB challenger Aditya Mehta 9-6 in a best-of-17-frame final. This was a sweet victory for Rawat, who had finished as the runner-up in the previous edition of the tournament, losing to Sourav Kothari in the final. This win marked Rawat’s first major title after 2-3 years and he was understandably happy with his performance.

The NSCI Snooker Open Crown is a snooker tournament organized by the National Sports Club of India (NSCI). The tournament is open to players from all over India and features a best-of-17-frame final. CK Nayudu Trophy: Saxena’s Double Ton Powers Mumbai

Divyaansh Saxena completed a double century as Mumbai dominated Saurashtra on the second day of their Group D Under-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Resuming on 141 with Mumbai 342 for five, opener Saxena scored 250 (381b, 29×4, 2×6) to help Mumbai pile on 543. Wicketkeeper Vaibhav Kalamkar also chipped in with 74. In another semi-final match, Mahindra Logistics Ltd. beat IPCA Sports Club by nine wickets with the help of Abhishek Pandey (5/8) and Parth Rai (4/23) in the Times Shield D Division. They will take on Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. B in the final.

MFA League: Patil Nets Four Goals

In the Mumbai Football Association League, Himanshu Patil struck four goals as Atlanta FC defeated DK Pharma 4-2 in a Elite Division match at the Neville D’Souza ground. Other results from the league included Sellebrity FC defeating India Rush SC 5-3, and Future Stars FC ‘B’ beating Navanagar SC 2-0.

CCI Snooker: Gaglani Beats Shah in Qualifying

Lastly, in the CCI Snooker Classic, organised by the Cricket Club of India, Kushal Gaglani beat Vivek Shah 3-2 in a first round qualifying match. Other results from the tournament included Alex Borg beating Alok Kumar 3-1 and Rupesh Shah beating Dhruv Sitwala 3-0.
