Lag Baomer, the 33rd day of the Omer count is the festive day of the Jewish. This year the festival is celebrated on May 7, 2015. It is celebrated with outings (on which children traditionally play with bows and arrows), bonfires, and other joyous events. Many visit the resting place of the great safe and mystice Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the anniversary of whose passing is on this day. Reference
