‘Kill Corona’ Campaign in Madhya Pradesh from 1st July 2020
To control the spread of COVID-19 in the state, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has informed that the State Government will launch a campaign called ‘Kill Corona’ from 1st July 2020 under which door-to-door Survey will be conducted. During the campaign, the highlight will be the number of tests conducted. The campaign will double the COVID-19 testing capacity from 4000 per 10 lakh people to 8000 per 10 lakh people in the state.
About the Campaign
‘Kill Corona’ campaign will be conducted for 15 days across the state through a door-to-door survey. In these 15 days, 2.5 lakh COVID-19 tests will be conducted. The target will be to collect and test 15 to 20 thousand samples on a daily basis.
COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh
The recovery rate in Madhya Pradesh is 76.9 percent as of 28th June 2020. This is significantly higher than the national recovery rate that is 58.1 percent. As of 29th June, Madhya Pradesh has a total of 13,186 COVID-19 positive cases out of which 10,084 have recovered. The number of Active cases as of 29th June is 2,545.
