Key Features of the Saksham App
- New Voter Registration: PwDs can register as new voters through the app by providing essential details such as name, address, mobile number, State, District, and Assembly Constituency.
- Existing Voter Services: Registered voters can request electoral services by providing their EPIC (Electoral Photo Identity Card) number mentioned on their voter ID card.
- Home Visit by Booth-Level Officer: Once the registration or service request is submitted, a booth-level officer will visit the PwD at their home to complete the necessary formalities.
- Accessibility Features: The app offers voice assistance for visually impaired users, text-to-speech functionality for hearing-impaired individuals, and features like large fonts and high-contrast colors to enhance readability and usability.
- Polling Station Information: Users can access information about their polling station, including its location, accessibility features, and contact details of polling officials.
- Complaint Filing: The app allows PwDs to file complaints regarding any issues they encounter during the electoral process.
