KAZIND -2019: India Kazakhistan Joint Military Exercise commence

The annual military exercise called KAZIND 2019 between India and Kazakhstan army commenced at Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand on 3 October 2019. The year 2019 is the 4th edition of joint military exercise. The exercise will conclude on 15 October 2019 with a 72 hour exercise which will showcase the joint skills of soldiers while conducting Counter Terrorism and counter insurgency operations.

About KAZIND -2019

Objective of exercise: To jointly train troops of both countries in Counter Insurgency and Counter Terrorism operations in both Jungle as well as Mountainous terrain.

The Exercise KAZIND 2019 can be termed as a façade (face) of long standing strategic ties between India and Kazakhstan.

Taks Undertaken:

As part of military exercise, important lectures, demonstrations and drills related to counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations will be conducted.

Both Armies will also share their valuable experiences in countering such situations.

It will also refine drills and procedures for joint operations whenever the need so arises.
