Kartavya Portal launched as a part of Nagrik Kartavya Palan Abhiyan

Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD), Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ launched a website, kartavya.ugc.ac.in , on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Constitution of India on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
The government has decided to run a year-long program from 26th November 2019 to 26th November 2020 named ‘Nagrik Kartavya Palan Abhiyan’, to create awareness among the citizens of the country about their Fundamental Duties as enshrined in our Constitution.

The primary objective of the Kartavya portal will be to conduct activities like debates, poster making, quizzes and holding monthly essay competitions for students under the year-long Nagrik Kartavya Palan Abhiyan.
The Department of Higher Education will conduct National Essay Competitions in eleven rounds during the year-long program. In every round, topics for the essay competition will be based on one of the Fundamental Duties of our Consitution.
