Kaamya Karthikeyan: Mumbai Girl becomes the youngest to climb Mt Aconcagua

On February 9, 2020, Kaamya Karthikeyan became the youngest girl to climb the highest peak in South America, Mt Aconcagua.

Kaamya Karthikeyan is a Class VII student studying in Navy Children School. She has set the record of become the youngest in the world to summit the highest peak of the Andes Mountain Range, Mt Aconcagua. She has also summited Mt Mentok Kangri II in August 2019.

She started mountaineering at the age of 3 with basic treks in Lonavala. When she was 9 years old, she had completed several high-altitude treks in the Himalayan region. She is also the youngest mountaineer to summit Mt Everest. By 2021, she aims to complete “Explorers Grand Slam”

Explorers Grand Slam

It is an adventurer goal to summit 7 highest peaks of the world and also to reach North Pole and South Pole. The seven summits include Mt Everest, Denali, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Vinson and two other highest mountain peaks chosen by the designates.
