Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee sworn-in as Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court

Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee has sworn-in as the 28th Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka.
He was administered oath to the office as per provision of Article 219 of Constitution by the Governor Vajubhai R. Vala in a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru.
Prior to this appointment, he was officiating as Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka since June 2015.

About Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee

• Justice Mukherjee was born on 10 October 1955.
• He had obtained his M.A., LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) degree from University of Calcutta.
• He had started his legal profession in 1982 as an advocate and mainly practiced in civil and writ matters.
• In 2000, he was elevated as Permanent Judge of the High Court of Calcutta. He was transferred as Judge to High Court of Karnataka in April 2015.
