Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso takes over as Pakistan's 6th interim PM
Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retired) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso took oath as sixth caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan. Justice Khoso held that the caretaker set-up was not going to stay for more than the stipulated period and maintained that elections would be held on time.
Previous five caretaker prime ministers of Pakistan were:
- August 6, 1990 to November 6, 1990 – Ghulam Mustafa Khan Jatoi
- April 18, 1993 to May 26, 1993 – Mir Balakh Sher Mazari
- July 8, 1993 to October 19, 1993 – Moin Qureshi
- October 6, 1996 to February 17, 1997 – Malik Meraj Khalid
- November 16, 2007 to March 24, 2008 – Muhammad Mian Soomro
