Jidar-ul-Hadeed
Jidar-ul-Hadeed is a month-long exercise conducted by the Pakistan Army in the Thar Desert of Sindh province. It was initiated on 28th January and will end on February 28. The objective is to prepare the military for conflicts in an extreme desert environment. Troops of Karachi Corps are involved in this tactical drills. The Thar Desert is an arid region spanning 200,000 sq km. It acts as a natural barrier between India and Pakistan.
