It is also implemented in 198 municipal wards.
Benefits of the scheme
The State Government of Karnataka aims to reach the doorstep of every house through the scheme. Under the scheme, the services such as property Khata certificate, caste certificate and widow pension benefits are to be provided at door steps. The scheme is highly beneficial to COVID-19 infected persons.
How does the scheme work?
In order to avail the benefits of the scheme, one has to place a call on the toll-free number 08044554455. A call centre will receive the call. The caller places his request at the call centre. The executive attending the call explains the details of the service such as fees required, documents required and other related things. After taking confirmation from the caller, the executive books a slot in the name of the caller. An OTP is sent to the registered caller. This OTP is to be shared during the Jana Sevaka service delivery. After booking, a Jana Sevaka (a person) is assigned to fulfil the service. The Jana Sevaka visits the caller’s home and assists him in application filing processes. He collects the required fee and proofs. Later he delivers the required document to the caller’s home.
