Israel : Soldier ‘Gilad Shalit’ released in swap deal
The Israeli soldier ‘Gilad Shalit’ and hundreds of Palestinians were released in a Historic prisoner swap deal b/w the Isreal and Palestine. It activated festivities in both Israel and the Palestinian dominions. The swap deal demands the discharge of 477 Palestinian inmates now and an additional 550 over a 2-month period. Israeli military man Gilad Shalit returned to Israel via Egypt which had mediated the Exchange deal. Nearly 100 Palestinians are being sent to the West Bank and around 40 deported to Jordan, Turkey, Qatar and Syria. The rest are being released in Gaza. Israel’s Supreme Court preserved the prisoner swap-deal, declining 4 petitions put forward by family members of Israelis killed in Palestinian attacks.
