International Cricket resumes
On July 8, 2020, the international cricket resumed with England and West Indies locking horns in a three match test series.
Highlights
There were no international cricket matches played due to COVID-19. Due to the virus, whole sporting action came to stand still. The last international match before COVID-19 was played by Australia and New Zealand.
The England and West Indies test series is to be held behind closed doors in Southampton and Manchester.
Re-Emerging of International Sports after COVID-19
The German Football League Bundesliga was the first to come back after COVID-19 lock down. Following Bundesliga, La Liga, Premier League and Serie A followed. They were all screened live without participants in the stadium.
International Cricket Council
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has brought new rules and protocols post COVID-19. The new guidelines include ban of saliva to shine the ball.
