Innovation sandbox

Innovation sandbox is a testing environment where new fintech products and solutions are tested out. It is isolated from the live market and hence helps identify and promote innovative solutions with minimal risk. An enabling environment, testing facilities and test data are provided by organisations like stock exchanges and share transfer agents. Recently, SEBI revised the eligibility criteria and objectives of the sandbox. A steering committee, with representation from enabling organisations, is to supervise the operations of innovation sandbox.
