Infosys to acquire US based firm Noah Consulting

India’s second largest software services major Infosys has announced acquisition of US-based oil and gas consulting firm Noah Consulting for 70 million US Dollars in an all-cash deal.
This acquisition is part of Infosys strategy to bring next generation data analytics solutions to the oil and gas industry.
Noah Consulting was founded in 2008 and has emerged as a leading provider of advanced information management consulting services for the oil and gas industry. It helps oil and gas companies to create and deploy information solutions in order to generate value from their oil and gas assets.
It should be noted that this is third acquisition of Infosys in 2015. Earlier in June 2015, the IT major had completed acquisition of Kallidus (business name Skava) for 120 million dollars. In March 2015, it also had acquired US bases Panaya Inc which is was an automation technology company for 200 million dollars.
