Indo-Norway Integrated Ocean Initiative

The Indo Norway Integrated Ocean Initiative was launched in accordance with an MoU signed between India and Norway in 2019. It is collaboration for ensuring the health of oceans. It focuses on combating marine pollution, sustainable use of ocean resources, development of blue economy, etc. Lakshadweep and Puducherry were identified as pilot sites for the Marine Spatial Planning under this initiative. The project steering meeting was recently conducted virtually.
