Indo-Bangla railway project

Indo-Bangla railway connectivity project via Akhura (Bangladesh)-Agartala is estimated to be completed by March this year. It is a 13-km long railway project connecting Bangladesh with India’s northeast and West Bengal via Nischintapur along the India-Bangladesh border. The project, worth Rs.968 crores, is expected to boost the bilateral trade and economic relations. This will be the first railway route from Northeast India and Bangladesh.
