Fee structure
The Pune Municipal Corporation will pay Rs 347 per tonne as fees to treat the waste.
Goal
The aim is to finish the plant construction by 2024
Technology used
The plant will use “Plasma Gasification Technology” to convert waste into hydrogen fuel. The process of converting organic materials into hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide is called plasma gasification. This is done at 700 degrees Celsius. Combustion is the major process that occurs during gasification. That is the organic materials are burnt. However, the combustion occurs in a controlled manner.
