Indian Railways inks MoU with Belgium for station development

Indian Railways inked an MoU with Belgium on bilateral co-operation for effective development and modernization of railway sector of both the countries.

Railways have selected about 50 stations including New Delhi, Howrah, Mumbai, Patna, Bhubaneswar and Chennai for transforming them into world class stations.
Railways will utilize Belgium expertise in modernization of railway stations involving commercialization of real estate around stations. Railways have 30,000 hectares of land around various stations.
