Indian Navy’s Tableau for Republic Day unveiled
On 26th January 2020, the Indian Navy’s tableau that will be showcased at the Parade of Republic Day at Rajpath has been revealed yesterday, 8th January 2020. The tableau is based on the theme of Navy Week that is `Indian Navy- Silent, Strong and Swift’.
Contingent Commander, Platoon Commanders, and the Naval Tableaux are the leading officers of Naval contingent, during the parade who will lead the Indian Naval Band are introduced during the press preview.
The tableau displays aircraft carrier ‘Vikrant’, the indigenous aircraft carrier under construction at Cochin Shipyard Limited, along with MiG 29K Fighter Aircraft which portrays the strength of the Indian Navy and Navy’s total commitment to the initiative taken by the Government that is `Make in India’. It aims to describe the Navy as a credible and combat-ready military force which protects the nation’s economic asset in times of crisis and natural calamities.
The fire and might power of the Indian Navy in all three dimensions i.e surface, sub-surface, and air has been displayed in the forward part of the tableau which is portrayed through models of state-of-the-art assets.
