Indian Army launches ‘Mission Reach Out’ in Jammu

Indian Army has launched Mission Reach Out in Jammu to ensure basic essential services and necessities are available in region after the abrogation of Article 370 provisions and reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir. In this regard, high level “Mission Reach Out” conference was held in the Nagrota Military Station to review the prevalent situation in the region.

Highlights of Conference

It was chaired by White Knight Corps Commander Lt Gen Paramjit Singh and was attended by Jammu Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma, members of civil administration, representatives of J&K Police, CRPF, BSF and intelligence agencies.

It was aimed at bringing absolute synergy between Indian Army, civil administration and other security establishments in maintaining peace, harmony and conducive environment in J&K. It also discussed prevailing security scenario and preparedness of security agencies and civil administration.

About Mission Reach Out

Under it, Indian Army has undertaken numerous initiatives such as providing mobile medical care units with essential medicines and lady medical officers, providing water in locations where supply is disrupted. It also has supplied essentials, including rations, assistance in transportation of patients to hospitals. It also helped in facilitating people to speak to their near and dear ones through army exchange and creat safe environment for banks. ATMs, and hospitals to function.
