India-Russia ‘INDRA 2019’ from 10-19 December 2019
The India-Russia bilateral tri-service exercise ‘INDRA’ will be conducted from 10th to 19th December 2019.
In a triservice exercise, all three forces of defense participate, the military exercise will be conducted at Babina military station, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Air force exercise will be conducted in Pune and the Naval exercise will be conducted in Goa.
The Indra bilateral exercise began in 2003, and the first triservice exercise under Indra was conducted in 2017.
This year will mark the 11th edition of exercise Indra. The ten days exercise will feature tactical operations end drills such as handling and neutralization of improvised explosive devices, cordon house intervention,anti-piracy measures and prevention of arms smuggling through the sea route will be practiced.
The exercise will further strengthen the interoperability and cooperation between the defense forces of the two countries.
