India-Mauritius CECPA

The Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECPA) between India and Mauritius received nod from the Union Cabinet recently. It seeks to liberalise and boost bilateral trade between the two countries. The agreement will come to force on 1st March this year. This type of free-trade agreement is first for India with an African nation. Mauritius will be receiving preferential market access for 615 products under this pact.
