India First Country to make the entire process for Haj Pilgrims Digital
The Minister of Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten have signed a bilateral agreement for the Indian Haj Pilgrims for the year 2020 on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in Jeddah.
The bilateral annual Haj 2020 agreement has made the entire process for the Indian Haj pilgrims next year digital.
India became the first country to make the entire process digital, with online e-visa application, Haj mobile app ‘e-MASIHA’ (e-Medical Assistance System for Indian Pilgrims Abroad) will create and maintain the complete health database of pilgrims from India in case of a medical emergency and digital pre tagging of baggage’s named ‘e-luggage pre-tagging’.
Indian pilgrims will also be provided with all necessary information regarding the building and room alloted to them along with transportation facilities in Mecca and Madina.
Every year 2 lakh pilgrims from India travel to Saudi Arabia for Haj.
