"ILEAL INTERPOSITION" a potent weapon to fight type-2 diabetes in patients
Ileal Interposition (metabolic surgery or small intestinal switch) is a new hope and a potent weapon to fight type-2 diabetes in patients.
How does it work?
The procedure uses a section of the small intestine tract between the stomach and the ileum, then shifts it into an upper area or puts it in line again. This surgery causes a biochemical process that facilitates insulin secretion in the presence of undigested food and thus it helps in controlling type-2 diabetes.
