ICAR and NABARD signs MoU for Technologies and Innovative Farmer Models
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the National Board of Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD) on Friday, 13th December 2019 at New Delhi, that will promote sustainable agriculture and climate-resilient farming system. The MoU will facilitate the research carried out with the active participation of farmers for providing the solution to challenges, and upscaling of various innovation farming models and technologies that are developed by the ICAR. ICAR has developed successful climate-resilient practices, integrated models for farming practices based on the hi-tech method.
ICAR is a premier organization under the Government of India with the mandate to promote and develop research, extension, and education in the field of agriculture. ICAR has a network of 113 institutes, 75 SAUs and CUs and 716 KVKs across the country.
NABARD under the Government of India, deal with policy planning and operations in the field of credit of agriculture and other related activities in rural areas.
