HSBC appoints Mark Tucker as its New Chairman
Europe’s biggest bank HSBC Holdings Plc has appointed Mark Tucker as its chairman. He will replace Douglas Flint and would take over as group chairman designate from September 2017 and as non-executive group chairman on October 2017. Tucker is an ICAEW chartered accountant. Currently, he is group chief executive and president of AIA Group Limited, the largest independent public listed pan-Asian life insurance group. He also has been an independent non-executive director of the Goldman Sachs group since November 2012.
