How many people are employed in MSME sector in India?
MSME sector employs 6 crore (60 million) people and accounts 40 per cent of India’s exports and contributes to 45% of India’s Industrial production. This sector has been suffering sickness due to reasons such as shortage of working capital and technology obsolescence. Currently there are talks going on for enhancing the confessional credit to this sector.
